Salamanca está ubicada en la región central de la Península Ibérica, es una ciudad en la que el clima es algo extremo, ya que tiene inviernos muy fríos y secos, y veranos muy calurosos y secos también.

Las temperaturas de Salamanca durante el invierno, sobretodo en enero y febrero, desciende frecuentemente de los cero grados centígrados, mientras en verano las temperaturas suelen superar con facilidad los 30 grados centígrados.
